Shihan Gert J. Lemmens

Born in Belgium in 1945, Shihan Geert J. Lemmens is known as one of the toughest and most feared fighters in the world. He achieved his first black belt in Shotokan Karate, which he started studying in 1964.Over a very short period of time, he became a legendary fighter winning countless European and international titles.

In 1972 he moved to Germany where he established and coached the famous Nippon Karate competition team. In 1978 he founded WAKO, the World Amateur Kickboxing Organization. He is also the founding president of the world famous IAKSA: the International Amateur Kickboxing Sport Association.

In 1979 he created his own style: Kadgamala Karate, which translates into "Way of the Flying Spear." This style became the foundation of our Sensei Mihran's martial arts education.

Today, Shihan Lemmens holds an 8th degree black belt in Kadgamala Karate and Kyokushinkai Karate, which he learned from another legend: Jon Bluming, who was a student of Mas Oyama. He also holds a 10th degree black belt in Kickboxing, in addition to 5 other black belt degrees in different martial arts disciplines.

Ever since Sensei Mihran first became Shihan's student in 1979, the two have shared a special relationship. Shihan Lemmens has been the main inspiration in Sensei Mihran's martial arts career for his dedication and ongoing quest for perfection in the art of fighting. Sensei Mihran looks up to him like a son looks up to his father.
